One door is locking opposite
Hi there,
New user here hoping to get some help. I have a 97 Accord that needed a new door lock actuator on passenger side. I put the new one in and it works but when I lock the doors on the drivers side it will lock all doors correctly but the passenger door will go in unlock position. When you try and lock passenger door all other doors unlock so my passenger door is working opposite as it should. I am thinking maybe someone broke into car at one time and previous owner installed lock rod wrong??? Please any help would be appreciated.

The door was locking this way before I put the new part in. Just that the old part was making the over travel noise that they make when they are going bad. So still need some more input if someone knows anything, thank you.
That is interesting. Like I said I have seen this before but only when the part was manufactured incorrectly.
The lock actuator rod only goes on one way. The only other option I can think of is the polarity to that actuator is reversed for some reason.
