1988 Honda CRX DX Swap options
Hi as the title said I am looking to do a swap on my 1988 CRX DX the motor currently in is the D15B2 with the stock auto tranny that came bolted on, what I wanted to know would be the best option for a swap that is budget friendly and will allow a general increase in performance but nothing too crazy. I want to be able to daily the car and be able to take it on Texas highways without the issue of poor acceleration and a general better gearing for speeds about 80mph. Currently with the full stock setup the tach reads about 3.5 to 4k at 80mph now and has of course poor acceleration at those speeds. I appreciate any advice on the subject as I am still new to the process of doing swaps on a CRX. I have looked at both K and B swaps but the idea of cutting up the engine bay so much to fit a K series worries me, plus I haven't found nearly as much info on a dx swap as compared to a EF/SI swap and any links to posts about those would be awesome. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to any advice I can get.
