I’ve had this 96 accord ex for about a year now finally deciding to put some work on it and I wanna know what can I do to atleast push about 180 jp without boosting it cause everyone is basically saying to just boost it but I’m short on money 😂 so just wanna know what I can do on the low end for now even if I can boost it in the long run I would like to know the process on that too. I would Appreciate the advice

If you are short on money you will never find 180, trust me.
Nothing low end will make ANY difference to the power of note. Intake, exhaust, header, even head porting, i did all that and it still runs very close to stock power.
My advice? Save up to boost, OR do an engine swap/

currently in the same boat my friend
you can do basic stuff like finding a cold air intake (might add 6hp) maybe
you could get a wider exhaust to allow better out airflow
could clean the throttle body when your replacing the air intake
maybe even some flames on the side to make it go faster (Jp lol)
you could go the e85 route which I’m currently researching which would change you from unleaded to e85 ethanol which has more oxygen in the fuel than regular unleaded but that route includes stronger fuel pump, wider fuel lines, bigger injectors, and remapping the ecu (or pcu) I think but will cost monies but worth it after adding a turbo ( recommend a map bearing one) and a waste gate (still researching that as well)
i recommend getting a p28 from what I’m hearing and initializing it
probably getting a different pcu so you can tune it your self with hondata or a smanager running program on your laptop and be able to switch back to the og one in case you mess up. Which there are free programs online to use
you could also grind the cam to a stage 2 or stage 1 which I found a place in Washington called delta cams that would do my sohc for about 150 along with the rockers
but if your regrinding the cam might as well do the timing as well while your in there
decking, rehoning the block, and probably adding sleeves to protect the block from boosting and the added beating it will take
and you will need to learn about coil binding and measuring all that **** out when replacing the cam
which the process is easy enough but I suck at math and figuring out rocker clearance lol
a lot of basic stuff that can be done aside from things like ngk wires and plugs
