I'm looking to replace the current factory radio in my civic with one with a CD player. I would prefer to not get an aftermarket one and put a Honda OEM radio in there that has a CD player.

I saw the 2000 civic had an option for a CD player unit and I found a bunch on eBay but had a few questions
1. Will it be direct plug and play? Or will I likely have to create a jumper harness or like repin clips?

2. Are the radio headunits the same size? Meaning, will the 2000 civic one fit as a replacement for the current radio?

3. Did the 2000 civic radios come with a security code? If they did, is there a way to bypass it without the serial number and/or without the VIN of the car it's from?

If anyone has any insight on this it would be extremely helpful
