Default My country is introducing 10% ethanol to fuel. Safe to use?

My country is currently in the process of introducing 10% ethanol to every gas station. For newer cars this should not be a problem, but there are warnings that older cars might not like this new formula.
For Honda cars, they say that "Every car produced after 1995" is fine with the ethanol. They still sell the old fuel, but at a significant higher price, and in very few stations.
I have Del Sol, -93 model with a B16A2 engine. Since the production run started in 92 and lasted until 98, then I am unsure whether or not my car would approve the new fuel.

I sent an email to Honda and asked about this, but the response I got was very cryptic, basically saying that the engine came with fuel injectors, and therefor I should use the premium fuel, which is strange concidering every car these days comes with fuel injectors.
Even when I asked to clarify this it sounded more like they wanted to avoid liability.

So I am very unsure what fuel type I should use going forward. Do I have to pay a premium for the 98 octane without ethanol, or should the 10% ethanol mix in the regular fuel be ok for my car? Why/why not?
Thank you in advance!

you will be fine.

just because your country is starting 10% ethanol content, doesnt mean others have not already.
California been on 10% ethanol for a decade already.

source: https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/resources/fac...sked-questions

"Will the Federal Energy Act requirements increase ethanol content in gasoline to 10 percent by volume?

Yes. We expect that the Federal Energy Act requirements will lead to a required national average ethanol content of 10 percent ethanol by 2012. However, California has had 10 percent ethanol in it's gasoline since the beginning of 2010."

You will probably have to replace some rubber seals in the fuel system & fuel pump eventually, & if left unused for any length of time a rusty fuel tank as the fuel is more likely to hold moisture.
Works fine in the short term...
Not insurmountable but I suffered both problems buying cheap cars left unused.
Ethanol raises octane rating like premium fuels with some fuel economy loss.
Honda had suggested 2005 here in Australia for Japanese sourced cars before they'd upgraded rubber seals that swell & deteriorate with alcohol.

it will be fine, just dont let it sit for very long. My 95 civic with 428k miles runs fine on the crap gas we have in the states. Just dont let the car sit still for over a month without Stabil in the gas tank. At least with my car, I can tell when it has month old gas in the tank. It doesnt run right. But I put a few gallons of fresh gas in it and it clears up.
