1993 civic does not turn off with ignition until brake is pressed.
I’m the 3rd owner of this dx civic and I’m getting it ready for a safety. Under regulations the car must turn off when the ignition is but mine only will when the brake is pressed as well. I don’t think they would pass that so I need help. The previous owner had put in a mugen ecu so I’m considering swapping the old one back in. If theres any fixes known please share. Thanks!
I have an alarm with remote start on my Civic and when I do remote start it stays running for 15 minutes or cuts off if I press the brake. Might be an alarm that has a feature like that in case you're just exiting the car for a few minutes and want to keep the ac going? Not sure but just a thought.
