Hello, i need your help. i have a 91 civic ex sedan with auto transmission. The transmission has been leaking near the shift shaft. I took it to two different shops. i got two different answers and both are recommending to get another transmission. One of the shop is telling me that the leak is coming from the "case half". They are saying that the casing gasket is busted and they are no longer available. Unfortunately, i have been unable to find another auto trans assembly. I have been reading that the shift shaft seal is a common problem on D series. i was able to remove the plate and see the shift shaft boot but i don't know how to access the seal. Are there any diagrams, instructions or pictures that i can refer to? Please take a look at the leak and i also took a picture of the boot when i removed the plate. Thanks in advance!
