Aftermarket Stereo wiring
So I got this 96 accord been doing this aftermarket wiring with a friend for the past couple days we’ve wired everything up correctly with an adapter and everything so we connect the new stereo and it just doesn’t power on or anything I try the original without the adapter and it cuts on so we’ve been doing that and so today we decided **** it and just wired the stereo directly into wires without the adapter and it still didn’t work it only turned when we connected the original one and switched it on which made the new one power on so I’m just confused on either we’re doing something wrong or just plain out retarded plz help

Have you confirmed the new deck is working? There should be a fuse on the new deck as well make sure they are not blown.
The 3 main wire you need to hook up to get it to power on are the Red (constant power) yellow, (power when car is on) and black (ground wire). Those colors are standard with the after market deck and the wire harness. OEM colors are different.
Also if you can take a picture that would really help.
