Civic ef d15b swap problems
Hi all, struggling to find an answer after searching many posts so hopefully this forum can help me..
Quick back story, i have a 1988 ef orginally carb (d13 auto), have converted to d15b and to manual... so to get the engine started as didn't see running myself got a eg interior loom hooked up the main bits and managed to get it running nicely, tested on p08 ecu and a chipped p28 all working well.
And now managed to find a crx interior harness so got hold of that as preferred to make most of the inside plug and play, this is from a d16a9 crx so already mpfi
long story short have fitted a obd0 to obd1 harness jumper (cheap eBay one) adapted the distributor and everything as needed (using obd0 engine harness on the d15b added appropriate extra plugs needed for vtec and o2), cut the resistor box plug soldered all wires together for the obd1 Injectors etc.
so first starting managed to get it firing ran for about 15 seconds and tried again same again few seconds to die etc until now it doesn't start at all..
not sure if I've done any damage hopefully not, not sure if problem has come from the cheap harness but it did run briefly was trying to sort the running out but now can't get it started.
main thing I've seen is I'm not getting a spark.. but is strange considering it did run 5 mins before
checked dizzy plugs all OK from multiple forum checks on connectors and matching wires correctly etc,
changed the distributer from a d16z6 one I've got that was good still no luck..
added another engine ground on Alternator side to help with grounding issues and cleaned polished all ground points all secure good voltage across etc.
odd from a perfectly running engine that was all good to then go back and convert obd0 to obd1 to run to now having no start ? Turns over fuel on plugs just now not firing ....
Any help would be much appreciated as currently stumped, believe i may need a better jumper harness but wondering if anything can do to narrow it down...
want this to be running so i can put the car back together, unless il have to go back to the obd1 interior loom and figure out mating it to every original plug.
Thanks everyone
