Default B18b1 heater core bypass

I removed my heater core and dont plan on putting a new one in as the car wont be my main car just a fun car. Can i route the hose from inlet to outlet in a half circle? Or will this have any negative effects besides the obvious loss of heating/cooling of the motor via heat.

That ain't it !!! That is the coolant bypass hose that is already on your thermostat housing and loops to the distributor end of the intake manifold... you CAN use just a loose loop of heater hose to go from your water pipe fitting (under the intake manifold) around to the side of the cylinder head under the distributor. In some applications, there is no fitting on the water pipe, it is actually on the thermostat housing next to the coolant bypass hose.

It won't be long enough. Sorry. All you need to do is simply buy some 5/8" heater hose from your local auto parts store and create a gentle "loop" between the two fittings that I referred to above and you are good to go. If you wanted to get really slick, you could find a "B" series water pipe assembly that DOESN'T have the heater hose barb on it, install that (which essentially blocks off one of the two heater hose connections) and then remove the male 5/8" heater hose barb fitting on the cylinder head and then cap that hole. The factory plug and washer for a DOHC VTEC cylinder head that seals off the rocker arm oil rail bars will seal the hole.

The OE part numbers are: 12208-PR3-000 (bolt) and 12209-PR3-000 (washer)

The EM1 water pipe has no heater hose outlet/barb... only the small 5/16" IACV hose... this may work for you as well. Part number is: 19505-P30-000
