Default 2007 Honda Civic EX starter

Hi guys
I have a 2007 Honda civic ex with automatic transmission. Apparently the starter is going bad and I need to buy another starter. I have decided to get a used one from junk yards on ebay and not go the new route due to 1) cost 2) not wanting some chinese garbage that will fail within 3 months
I am having trouble figuring out whether some starters that I found on ebay will work on my Honda. It appears that there are many considerations. one is whether the car is Japanese built or USA built. Another is whether it's automatic or manual. Another is if the seats are leather or not. Another is denso vs. mitsuba or something. And some listings says the Honda has to be 1.8L, MT and I dont know what that means. And then apparently sometimes the vin matters too. some listings say this starters fits japanese built "from vin xxxxx" xxxxx being 5 numbers. or thru vin xxxxx. and I dont know what that means. what does FROM vin mean, what does THRU vin mean? I am so confused. How do I know if the starter will work on my Honda?

If you're gonna do it yourself, get one that lasts...IOW, get new.
