Is the 2001-2005 Honda Civic a generation I should modify and daily drive?
I love the way the 7th gen civic looks, and I’m currently looking for a car to daily drive and modify year round. I live in Canada, and with the winters being very cold, and the roads being super snowy and slushy, I was looking for a car that had a mix of reliability, comfort, and aftermarket support. So far my options are the late 90s-early 00s Integra, the Acura RSX, the 6th and the 7th Gen civic. I’m super new to working on cars, the most I’ve done was changing fluids and tires, so I’m not looking to add a turbo or engine swap for a bit. Without swapping the engine out entirely, is the 7th Gen civic a good car to modify? I’m talking about difficulty to modify, horsepower potential and availability of aftermarket parts. Any information is welcome!
A lot of folks do both modify and daily it. You aren't gonna add much HP w/o a swap though. But they're easy to work on and run forever if you take care of them. Want more pep? Find an Si. I have a 6th and a 7th. I'd only recommend finding a manual if you can.
