I'm trying to jump my main relay with a paper clip but I'm having trouble understanding where to put the paper clip because I'm trying to figure out if i need a new main relay because my fuel pump isn't priming

 

Something easy to do and I've probably said this quite a few times but, if you have a good camera on your phone or whatever, take a picture of the solder points of the main relay circuit board and zoom in. Looking for any that have a fine dark ring going around the solder of a point. If you see any, re-melt the solder because those are cracks which can cause the problem and doing this saves you from buying another relay.

 

92-95 (under driver side)


96-99 (under passenger side)

 

You would have to take the main relay out and test it by applying power and ground to the respective signal sides and then with a voltmeter check for continuity on the switched sides.
