HID Retrofit - EG Hatch - Morimoto H1 Mini From TRS
After taking a look at different options, I thought my best choice for improving headlight output for my little EG hatch was to get a set of Spec D housings w/ smooth (non-fluted), glass lens and the Morimoto Mini H1 HID retrofit kit.

Alright - let's get the housing in the oven!
The housings shipped w/ a protective film - nice!
I removed the city light before baking.
I removed the rubber boot and 4 clips. It turns out there are 5 clips!
I heated the oven to 240F and then placed the housing in for 10 minutes. That got the adhesive softened up, but I put the housing back in for another 10 minutes and then I was able to separate the glass from the plastic.
Victory!

My second thought is about the reflector bowl, and how it mounts in the housing on these long screws.
The more I think about this, the more I feel like these are for adjusting or aiming the light output w/in the housing. So to get the aim correct, you want the reflector bowl positioned properly in the housing, and then the housing needs to be aimed correctly on the vehicle.
Does anyone have experience with this?
How to use these adjusting screws for the reflector bowl?

When you say factory adjuster, are you talking about the adjustment for the housings? Or the adjustors for the reflector bowls in the housings?
I figure I have to get the reflector bowls as close as possible when I put them back in the housings. It took forever to loosen them!
Thanks!

Purple is your horizontal adjustment. Blue circles the vertical adjuster. Insert a #2 phillips screwdriver to the geared-looking side of the adjuster wheel from the green arrowed direction. That's why those screws are so long.
Report back how good/bad the adjustment range is on these. Some of the aftermarket lights I've run into are pretty sadly way out to lunch.

@spAdam - thanks.
I wish I had not unscrewed the reflector bowl, those screws are long AF.
I looked at the DS housing (I thought I would just do one at a time) and I think I can remove the shield w/o removing the reflector bowl, so I will have the 2nd housing as a reference.
