i need help replacing the connector for the d-series coolant temp sensor , the wire broke off at the connector and the local wiring place doesn't know where to find the right connector for it and the local honda dealer told me i have to buy an entire new wiring/dash harness

any of the experts here know which pig tail connector i need to buy ?

 

Looks like if you're in a pinch, you could just strip the wires back a bit and recrimp the metal plug onto it.

your local Lowes, Home Depot, etc should have 16-14 awg bullet connectors in the electrical section

Utilitech 16-14 Bullet Blue (12-Count) in the Terminal Wire Connectors department at Lowes.com

 

what kind of tools would i need to just do it my self with these ?

 

I'd go with the pigtail insulator.
