I'm an archival producer, working on a feature documentary on the history of street racing in New York City in the 1980s-90s. The film focuses especially on the rise of imports in the street racing scene.

I'm looking for anyone who might have video footage or photos from this time, of races at locations such as Fountain Avenue, Hunts Point, the Westside Highway, and other street racing hot spots in Queens and the Bronx. I think I've found most of the relevant footage on YouTube that's been posted, but of course it's difficult to track down who posted them!

If any of you has old footage or camcorder (VHS, 8mm) tapes from this time, we are happy to pay for professional digitization, just to see what you have, and would be grateful if you let us take a look. It's hard to tell the story if we can't see the cars...

I kinda doubt Hondas were street racing in NY in the 1980s.
