Default Vacuum line plugged with screw

1989 CRX DX. D15B2.

Just to be certain, is this vacuum line supposed to be plugged? Following the vacuum hose diagram was a little odd.

That's your MAP sensor line, I'm not sure if the tee is original but either the tee or straight line would be fine so long as it doesn't kink.

If you were to unplug the 2 connectors and unbolt the assembly for easier access, there may be where typically that plugged line should loop up beside the center vertical vac line and plug into almost a hidden port.

It doesn't plug into anything... it is a dampening line. What Maxcapacity was trying to say is it may connect to a "dead end" vacuum plug on the bracket, but if that is missing, a bolt in the end will work just fine. It just isn't pretty.

Look at the red arrow, is that supposed to look like that? From here it looks like a split hose.

If I remember correctly, I believe that what you are looking at is a male-to-male restrictor junction to reduce flow to the purge/cut solenoid... this is an emissions thing and will not affect how the engine runs.

Thanks for that, I do vaguely remember either adding or removing a tee to my line years ago to track down a hesitation issue, but wasn't sure if it was there originally.

Is that there to dampen the vacuum signal to the MAP sensor? I wonder if its sensor specific, or if there is a benefit to having it vs a throttle mounted MAP sensor.
