1982 Honda Accord: Rebuilt Carb now idles at 3k-5k
As the title states. I rebuilt the carb. Didnt mess with the jets/idle. I just replaced gaskets and floats replaced both fuel filters and fuel pump. Now its idling extremely high. I rode it for about a week when I bought her. Died after waiting at a red light turned over just fine, got home and she wouldnt even turn over. Thats when I rebuilt the carb, I do have a Weber conversion kit coming in a week or two, but would love to get her running before hand. I tried just letting it run to see what happens, but oil starts spewing out the valve cover so I don't let her run more than 2-5mins so I dont blow her up. I am not very mechanically inclined.
This would be my first car project that I've taken in since this is one of my dream cars to own. Would love to get her running again if at all possible before I take to a mechanic and spend money out the ***.
