Acura Tl Type s Spindles on Ek Civic
Simply because it's designed to go around a much taller wheel/tire assembly, I think it's a safe bet that it's much taller than a Civic knuckle... Which means that even if it fits, it doesn't work right. I'm still interested if anyone has one to compare.
What are you trying to accomplish anyway?

Goal is brembo Tl calipers with 5 bolt lugs. Everyone else is drilling their dc2/crv spindle bolt holes and adding 5mm spacers to the back of the rotor to get the brakes to work. how ever new rsx hubs and bearings are also needed to complete it to 5 bolt. Rsx base for 32 mm setups and rsx type s for 36mm setups. I bought a pair of complete TL Type S spindles. I will fully measure both spindles and report back the findings from quick measure its 1/2 inch taller which in reality is not much, using different ball joints also change height on certain setups. For this to work new ball joints will be need because Tl comes with sleeves on the ball joint. Theres no clean way to remove/cut. I guess ill be the first to try. I plan to measure where the front hub surface sits in relation to the chassis, and all spindle measurements. Note that i have the smallest spindles of the group on 98 civic dx i believe. This will be the best cost effective route if all fits properly. For those looking for calipers if dont know already make sure your threads are intact properly.
Right on. I'd want to do a full check on where everything is vs the Civic knuckle so you know how much you are jacking up the geo... Like, what's the distance between the centers of the upper and lower ball joint pivots with them all assembled? What's the distance from the center of the lower ball joint pivot to the axle center? Or to the steering arm plane? What's the steering arm length? You might find that you improve some things for your setup but trash others.
