92 Honda Accord DX THE NIGHTMARE
I have a 92 Honda Accord DX with a 2.2 engine. I've been having trouble with it for months! We have replaced so much on this car it's almost new and the problem is still there!! Let me start by saying this car sat for several years before I ended up with it. I have replaced the intake, the cylinder head, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, valve cover gasket and plug seals, head gasket, EGR valve, fuel pressure regulator, throttle position sensor, fuel injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, PCV valve, coil, ignition , distributor, and theO2 sensor. After doing all those repairs the problem still is there the car will run fine at an idle but when you go to take off it'll start sputtering and loses all the power. Someone help us Please 🥺 as to what it might be. Tia
Just to help bump this thread...
When you started this "rebuild", was the problem as described now?
The actual causes of "drivability" can be categoriezed in one or more of the following (1) electrical/ignition, (2) vacuum, (2) fuel delivery
I assume no check engne light?
Is your timing correct?
Out of curiosity, does the sputtering/loss of power occur when under load only or if you rev it up in Park or Neutral?
Given the invesment you've made, I assume you have a factory OEM Service Manual, which has a number of troubleshooting paths, iirc.

Have you performed compression and leak down tests on the engine?
If the engine is healthy this sounds like it could be a TPS vs MAP issue. Check to make sure you have the proper 3 wire connector going to the TPS. The MAP and TPS use the identical 3 wire connector and can be swapped by mistake.
