I drive an 01 Accord 2.3 with 180k something miles. Recently, I replaced all shift solenoids because I had shifting problems like shuddering and jumping in rpm and slipping, etc. and I had all gears before replacing the shift solenoids. After I installed them it fixed all other issues, the transmission is tight and shifts properly in all other gears, but now I completely lost second gear. I have to start in D1 and accelerate to 25 mph or above then switch to D3 or D4, D3 usually works better because it engages faster and continue accelerating from there, but I still haven’t figured out why I don’t have 2nd gear. I had a check engine light before replacing them, after I replaced them it went away for a little while and now it’s back. Any suggestions?
