2004 Honda Civic LX automatic - Smoke from under hood
First time using this site. I have white smoke coming from under the hood. Very recently my coolant reservoir popped open. I changed the disgusting brown coolant with new coolant and changed the temperature gauge. I also checked clamps around the radiator to ensure they are still good. Ever since then some fluid has been leaking around the air filter and burning, causing a white smoke. Smells like burning coolant but it's also brown. If it is a coolant leak I can't understand why it'd be brown when i changed the coolant. I plan to change the head gasket since I noticed oil slightly seeping through but that's at the front. The back of the engine has a few hoses dripped on by this substance and I can't tell if it's a leaking hose or if it's simply the head gasket. Any advice on how to check if it's either without paying a mechanic to diagnose it?
Very recently it started making a sound between a gurgle and rattle from the area of smoke.
