How is this possible? Cyl 2 rocker arm not moving
2013 v6 with 180k, misfires on cyl 2, checked coils, plugs, fuel all good. Pulled cover off. Was a bit loose on the cyl 2, so i adjusted the valves just a tiny bit. But for some reason this middle part rocker is not moving at all, how is that possible?

I understand, but this is where i have a misfire, i tried turning it over many times but its always stationary, is this normal? Am suspecting something isnt right. Car is cold too. Maybe like a pin or something that holds the rocker arm down or moves it
I don't think it's normal. There are a set of pins that slide between those three rocker arms locking and unlocking the middle arm to the outside arms.
I believe the default is they are locked together until VCM applies oil pressure unlocking the arms to disable the cylinder.

Lol so what you saying, the other 2 cylinders move like they should, so maybe its an issue with the pin? By removing those top bolts holding the whole assembly will i be able to tell? But of course after that ill need valve adjustments
I believe there is a solid rail that goes through all those cam caps and rocker arms. You will have to remove ALL of the rocker arms to inspect that one.
Oh probably plenty of people have had the issue, they just dump it at the dealership and when the dealer says that will be $2600 to fix they trade in the car and are done with it. Not too many people still turn wrenched in the driveway and then even fewer make it to the internet to post about it.
I believe i found one of the piston caps stuck in one of the rocker arm hence not assisting in moving it, but putting the whole bridge assembly together is a nightmare. Ton of springs and caps ugggh, i cant find any info on how to put it together
Oh boy.
I don't have a service manual with a VCM head. Honda does offer access to the service data for $25 a day. You can save the data as a PDF or print it for use later.
