Default UK Type-R intake valves

Hey my engine builder was telling me to try and find some UK Accord Type-R (edited not ITR!) intake valves for my H22a head, stating that something to do with the angle/design made them flow much better.

Does anyone have an info on these, or where I could get them? Thanks.

uhh... i don't think that'll work.
Why not? As far as I know it has already been done....You can also use ITR lost motion assemblies on H22a...

Can anyone confirm what was said about the UK specific intake valves? I didn't make much sense to me but he's built a lot of engines..

unless there valves in the uk are 35mm intake and 30exhaust they won't fit! stock b's are 33mm intake and 28mm exhaust!

Supposedly, the JDM Prelude TypeS has a unique head design with different valve angles than the regular H22A. The Accord Type R and Accord EuroR may use this same head. The valves may be different, but they also may not be compatible with a regular H22A head...

Andrew - who is mostly just speculating...

That is correct, it's the valve angles

I have a thread a few down where I am looking for them. But so far the price seems hella expensive (like $500 US or Euros) for anll 16. I may just spring for the intake valves....

I'm not understanding... Do you want the just the ATR valves? Or do you want a whole ATR head?

The point I was trying to make initially is that the ATR valves may not be compatible with the "regular" H22A due to the difference in valve angle design in the head itself (if the ATR head is indeed similar to the JDM TypeS head)... Again, I don't know for sure. Just speculating...

Ohhh.....I thought you meant the angle of the bottom of the valve for faster velocity or something...that's what I was referring too. I don't think there is an actually angle in the head issue....

what about those guys that had h22a4 heads and pu tin Type-S cams ang got funky wear or valve lash problems?? i thought that was from the valve angle in the type-S head vs. the angle of the USDM head...??

They are just screen shots from his Honda Electronic Parts catalogue...

Both part numbers say P13 for Prelude VTEC and ATR.....and are the same...

So maybe it's only Type-S and SiR-T valves.....maybe Euro-R

Are the last three digits of the P/N the same? That is where the difference would be if there was one

according to inlinefour there are mods which have to made so it will work properly but they also said Skunk2 is releasing an almost identical manifold around January which requires no mods.
