I saw this on a used car japanese site. Is this a mod? If so, has anyone done it? How easy is it, parts involved, instructions, etc.. Thanks!

It came with some models but is not that easy to retrofit to models that came without it. Models without have a metal plate under the rear deck (above the trunk area) that doesnt leave space for the motor as far as I can see it.

Years ago I bought a JDM rear windshield and this wiper came with it but i couldn't use it because my CD4 didnt have room for the motor. Ended up plugging the hole where the wiper assy would have been. Mental note, should sell that assy, it is in a box somewhere

 

It seems you're right. With this trunk design on most V4 you don't have the clearance needed. But I think the V6 came with strut lifts instead of this cross-hook bar design to keep the trunk lid up when opened. It could work on accords that came with strut lifts. Btw, what's that black box with the tiny lever. It doesn't seem to do anything

 

It is used to fold down the rear seat from the trunk. Pull the release, then push the rear seat.
