40/40 proportion valve correct for EX brake swap?
I was reading up about the brake upgrades posting by user BrakeExpert yesterday when I was curious about my own setup. The master cylinder would match the front brake calipers, the proportioning valve does not "need" to be changed from it's original chassis but there is conflicting info about that.
Personally I currently have the DA rear disc swap on my rex using the DA master cylinder and 40/40 prop valve with the intention on using the EX front calipers, knuckles when I ever come across a set at the wreckers to install and complete my setup. Currently just running the stock si front brakes and the braking is pretty darn good the way it is but I know its not the proper MC to be using but it works fine.
So, in my mind, I would think you would use the prop valve coming from the EX so it matches the original intended setup. Basically if the EX uses the 40/40 go with it.
