1993 accord EX water pump replacement
I have a 1993 honda accord EX that needs a water pump replacement and i am going to go ahead and replace the timing belt too, what else should i replace along with those? The kits ive found are sketchy so id rather just have a parts list to go off of
Been fighting this issue for at least a year so please let me know asap, im relying on another vehicle (2006 ram 2500 mega cab) thats needing its suspension fixed as it is so a fast rspnse would be greatly appreciated

If you are doing the water pump and t-belt do the idler and tensioner. You may also want to do the balance shaft belt.
Rock auto has all of them together as a kit. Just make sure you are buying the appropriate one for the EX (vtec)
I recently used Gates branded kit but anything is fine

I used to worry about those cheap kits, but a couple of things to keep in mind.
There are only a couple of manufacturers of belts, so no matter what brand you buy, it will be decent.
The cheap kit water pumps and bearings don't last as long as the original due to cheap Chinese bearings.I came to realize that if you are replacing the parts when they should be, this is not an issue as they will last that long. They just won't last the 250k miles that the original parts will.
I replaced an original timing belt in my 93 at 250k. I got the car at 200k. I was loosing timing and power s the belt was rotten and stretched, yet it did not have any oil on it, just age and miles.

well im definitely in Oklahoma, have a north american honda and definitely read vtec everytime i open my hood, but maybe thats why the '93 EX seems to have different parts than the others but it has a vtec, wouldve already found out if i didnt by now, but to everyone else: Rock auto does have good kits including the sought after Aisin kit, but also has both SKP and ATP harmonic balancers at very good price so again thank you very much!!

Honestly rockauto prices are hard to beat, just need to juggle items in the cart sometimes if you dont want to pay multiple shipping charges.
Is the general feeling that the aisin kit is the best one? Maybe I should have gotten it instead of the Gates huh
