Looking to buy Nighthawk 750
Picture of semi sketchy facebook listing of a nighthawk I considered for parts
I have been looking at nighthawks for a while. I have some in great condition, similar miles on my list for around 2000-2600. I considered buying this as a parts bike after I got a running one and ebay what I didn't need/want to keep. I was thinking of maybe just buying it and running through it. If I pay him 700 bucks and it really is just cosmetic issues then I got a deal. I can always buy one of the nicer looking/well maintained nighthawks later right? Unless of course they all dissapear. I do have a decent number of them saved though. Any thoughts? I love the bike, want one as my new bike. I have enough full ones nearby to feel reasonably sure I can find parts for some time. It's replacing a taiwanese knockoff 70's/80's CB clone that was stolen from me last month.
If you notice the needs a new ignition, the key was drilled out and this was briefly stolen then retrieved. Listing shows the VIN. That is an issue that has me a bit hesitant to just buy it.
