Ok guys got new cv axles for the 97 coupe 5 speed. First the oassneger side didnt have abs tone ring...then the driver side was a completely different length. There is a shaft coming iver to the driver side and the cv axles is very short. The driver side they gave me is super long does this replace the old one?

 

Are you sure you got axles for a manual transmission? They MAY have given you auto axles

 

oh yeah thats exactly what they did and gave me a non abs passenger side.

The driver side pretty much fell apart when it came out, hoping this fixes my vibration lol

So this is why I'm glad I have a spare vehicle. Can't get the right part until tommorow.

On a side note I didn't loose any fluid when pulling out the axels I guess I need to go ahead and top it off while there out.

 

Got the new axels in.

Vibration is gone! Drives so much better. Now to do oil pan gasket at next oil change and that will be all mechanical stuff fixed. Then on to paint.

 

Great that vibration is sorted. Gonna make driving the car a lot nicer now
