Default 2015 Honda lx 6spd brakes making noise after brake job

Recently done a brake job on my dad accord just front pads after about a month later the brakes make a noise but not any squeaking and it only happened sometimes it almost like a clicking noise or like someone knocking on wood. The noise isn’t very loud and is easy to miss like I said before it only happens sometimes any ideas what it could be. The brakes work fine no vibrations when stopping and they stop immediately I’ve checked all my bolts/shims/slider pins there all snug on and lubed up and I replaced all hardware with new hardware so I’m not sure why it making the noise. The noise also just started a week ago I did the brake job about a month ago. Anyways I would appreciate any help, maybe other part like back brakes haven’t replaced those or rotors.

This is just a guess but….CV joints on axles will often make the sound you are describing. The noise is most noticeable when turning at a corner because it places a little more stress on the joint. The main cause of the joints failing is a tear in the cv boot which confines the grease for the joint. When it’s torn the grease leaks out and dirt is introduced to the joint and it doesn’t take long before it is permanently damaged.
Note: these tears ate often hidden in the folds of the boot and easy to miss at first glance. The tears can also be where the clamps secure the boot to the axle. Grease will often be visible.
