Default CV AXEL 97 ACCORD

So i've been chasing a vibration upon acceleration and when going up a hill. Two mechanics have told me cv axels. The boots are tore and maybe just time to replace.

How hard of a job is this? Looks pretty straight forward, do you loose alot of fluuid when changing them.

you dont lose a lot of fluid changing it at all. Its a bit of a messy job but can be done without too many specialist tools. A lot of videos online of how to do it.

they should be cheap to buy on rockauto

Awesome it looks fairly simple. I did the ones in my old tacoma and lost half the fluid.

Reallydont wanna do it but I drive the car 90 miles a day, don't need them breaking.

Just be sure to buy the right one for your transmission. Manual ones are different on one side i think. Automatic is auto specific

I dont remember losing much fluid when I did mine, but Honda genuine ATF for automatics or MTF for manuals, always the answer!

Good price for NAPA by the way, their parts tend to be good quality

How bad would it be to let them go lol. I only plan on driving this car maybe 8 more months...but I drive it 90 miles a day.
