DIY flycutting valve reliefs
I'm building a 96 Y8, H-beam ebay rods, (great reviews, you know where to stick your opinions) already clearanced the block and main girdle, ported and shimmed my oil pump, going to use PM6 pistons.
my question is, has anybody cut thier own valve reliefs at home?? I intend on using stock valves modified with a cutting surface on the face as my cutting tool..has anybody tried this??

It is common to open up valve reliefs on stock B18B/B20B/Z pistons when installing a VTEC cylinder head on top to make a Frankenstein engine, but I use a Dremel to do the work. I have never done it using the method that you have described.
