Honda civic b16a2 not starting plz plz plz help
Right so basically im going through my honda nightmares. Bought an orginal ek4 vti-s (1 of 200) back in october.
Car has 237k miles on it but with full extensive history. drove superb and i drove it back home 300+ miles. After driving it home i drove it around twice locally but no more than 5 miles at any given time.
Now in november i drove it and as i got to the bottom of the road it felt like it was cutting out also popping and spluttering from the exhaust if id let go of the accelerator so assumed this may be due to low fuel. Drove to the nearest pump n filled up.
After filling up. It got worse, even with the revs up it cut out two roads down.
Had it recovered home. Changed the oil, oil filter sparks and rocker cover gasket.
Started the car it started perfect. Drove literally 10 yards and it cut out again. So i parked it up and after reading plenty of forums i concluded that its got to be the distributor.
6 weeks later iv put in a recon distributor. ( Its not 180 degree backwards) also checked spark in all 4 coils and checked the timing and cylinder 1 lines up top dead centre where its meant to be.
Now when trying to start the car. It sounds the same with coils plugged in or out. Almost as if there is no compression.
I am completely lost for what it could be now.
