this might be a long one. it’s also my first thread so no hate please but my 05 lx blew its motor a while ago, i put a 02 lx motor in it and when we put the t belt tensioner on satan locktighted it, ran it for a while everything was pretty much perfect until it jumped timing(1000% my fault, i shouldn’t have let it go back together crossthreaded). got the tensioner bolt hole fixed and back together by a trusted mechanic, car had been sitting for a while so had water in the intake, i took the intake off cleaned it out really good and put it all back together to find it every valve was bent. So i put new valves in the head, new seals, put it all back together and it was holding at 2k, if i give it just enough throttle for it to recognize the pedal it drops and comes back up, it would surge and cam out whenever i got back from driving it around the parking lot, since then ive put in a new radiator(old one was cracked) a used throttle body(no change other than now i can’t get it to surge) so now it’s just the high idle, i’ve tried spraying brake clean around the tb and intake manifold and it had no change, when i plug the port for the iacv the car almost dies(not sure what this means being that if it idles fine when you plug it the iacv is bad) coolant has been fully flushed and bled. I’m at a loss of ideas here if anybody knows anything please let me know, thank you!

 

did you do a valve adjustment after you replaced them?
