Default Found y'all while researching my civic's new problem

Hey everybody! I just became a member of this forum and think i'm going to love it here.

I came here seeking help with an issue my 1990 Civic is having. The car has a D15B and a 4 speed manual. I drive it for 8-10 hours at a time doing pizza deliveries.

Initially when I'd be driving and shift gears it would act like the clutch hadn't fully disengaged (the engine revved up without additional acceleration) until I let off and throttled back into it. If I truck shifted (float shifted, RPM shifted, whatever you prefer to call it) then it would accelerate as normal... then even that stopped working. Now regardless of which gear i'm in or whether I used the clutch to shift or not it revs out until I let off and then throttle in lightly but regardless of gear or travel speed if I give it half throttle it revs out. It started doing this last night and then this morning acted normal until I got it up to temp at which point it started doing it again.

I'm going to start digging through your forums and see what I find, in the meantime if you see this and have advice i'd certainly appreciate it.

Thank you for the response! After doing some digging and reading a bunch of the posts on clutch symptoms I reached this conclusion as well. The driver side CV axle has been clunking for a few weeks when I turn right so tonight's trip to Autozone ended up being a clutch kit, flywheel, CV axle, and since I'm already going to be there a rear main seal. Tomorrow will be a busy day.
