Icon5 1993 Civic Cranks, but does not start /Dashboard does not light on.

Hi everyone. I have a little problem with my 1993 Honda Civic DX. So, I was going for a ride, it started normally but suddenly the dashboard lights started to blink and the car turned itself off. Then I tried to start but it results that when I go to the ON position of the key switch, the dashboard does not light on and when I try to start, cranks strong but nothing more than that. As for now, I replaced the main relay but still no success. Some important observations that might be useful are:
the radio works, warning blinkers work but not the turning ones, interior light works and all fuses are working.

Sounds like an ignition switch wiring power distribution problem. Some call this the ignition pigtail... it plugs into the fuse box and to the opposite side of the key switch assembly from the key slot. This is a common problem in '88-00 Civics.

Thanks, I checked connections and cleaned the ignition switch and worked. For a while though, it started and 1 minute after that it turned off and now I have the same problem. But now it's a bit different, main relay works and I can hear/feel the clicks, also the fuel pump makes noise. Still got cranking noise and no dashboard lights. Any other idea of what it might be? Hope is not ecu related

The issues are related to bad solder joints in the switch mechanism... cleaning doesn't solve the problem. Contacts inside may also be worn... you could TRY to re-solder all connections and see what happens, but you will likely have to replace it to solve your problem.

Update on it, there were some small problems. Ignition switch contacts were extremely dirty, ignition pigtail pin was actually broken on the inside, main relay didn't work and after doing all that, a damn fuse that I tested a lot of times, was not working properly. So, always use a test pen, sometimes a multimeter can let you down like it did to me haha. I appreciate all the support provided
