Default 2001 accord driver side door stuck, how to fix?

Got a 01 accord 4 cylinder model. Manual windows and locks.

The driver-side door got stuck, meaning I could not open it inside or outside. I'm suspecting there is something wrong with the latch.

What should I do now? How to fix it?

It sounds like you may have a problem with the door latch on your Honda Accord. There are a few things you can try to fix the issue before seeking further assistance.

First, try lubricating the door latch mechanism with a penetrating oil such as WD-40. This may help to loosen any rust or debris that is causing the latch to stick. Simply spray the oil onto the latch and try to open the door a few times to see if it becomes easier to open.

If the door still won't open after lubricating the latch, you may need to remove the door panel to access the latch mechanism. This can be a more involved repair, but it is still something that you may be able to do yourself. Here is a general outline of the steps you will need to take:
  1. Remove any screws or clips that are holding the door panel in place. These are usually located along the edges of the panel and may be covered by plastic caps or trim.
  2. Carefully lift the panel off of the door, being mindful not to damage it or the door itself. You may need to gently pry the panel away from the door with a flat tool such as a screwdriver or trim tool.
  3. Once the panel is removed, you should be able to see the door latch mechanism. You can try lubricating it again, or you can try to manually move the latch to see if it is stuck or damaged.
  4. If the latch is damaged, you will need to replace it. This may require special tools and some mechanical skill. If you are not confident in your ability to do this, it may be best to seek the help of a professional mechanic.
  5. Once you have repaired or replaced the latch, reattach the door panel and test the door to make sure it opens and closes properly.
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or need more specific guidance, don't hesitate to ask.
