Default leaking oil pressure sender

d15b7 425thousand miles. ok I have been wrenching on cars for about 40 years. During that time I have had to replace 3 oil pressure senders/switch due to leaking. 2 of them were on a 1993 Chevy Blazer 4.3 litre. The third was on this Civic. My question is, Is this common on these engines or was it just its time to die
Thank

I wouldn't say it's common. Make sure to not over-tighten the new sensor when you install it. I have seen the cast aluminum block crack from over-tightening...then you've got a mess.

DaX nailed it. I've seen several cracked bosses and zero leaky switches over the years. Tapered pipe thread has an impressive power to destroy when over tightened.
