Do coilovers need to be at the same height from left to right?
I have an 8th gen accord coupe. Just got some BC BR series coilovers installed over the weekend. I'm absolutely loving the look and it rides okay, the only issue I'm having is getting my ride equal from side to side.
I tried to measure from the floor to fender and the left side of the car sits about 1/2 inch lower than the right. As it stands right now, there is slight difference in all corners, but I like how it looks. The difference isn't noticeable unless you measure.
Do coilovers on the same axle need to have equal exposed threads (be at the same height setting?) Can it cause damage if they are not? Should I just make sure the the same amount of threads are exposed on both left and right and call it a day? I tried that and it made the right sit higher so I instead measured wheel gap and brought the right side down.
I just want to make sure everything is done correctly before paying for an alignment.

I still need to have my car aligned and get the full weight settled in, but as it's looking my CS2's are going to have like a full inch+ of difference on one of the rear coilovers. I'd imagine the difference between them to go down a little once everything settles.
I've got mine adjusted to roughly 1/8" difference side to side and front to back. When the car is on the road I'm going to adjust them again with the weight of a driver and probably half a tank of gas.
Corner weights are not equal. So it's expected to adjust spring height if you want equal ride height. That's why you have adjustable coilovers. Adjust them.
Also, chassis do flex over time, along with worn bushings, etc that contribute to unequal adjustment.
It's no big deal.
