Problems starting B20 Swapped Ef
So when I get in and turn the key to the second position the fuel primes, I verified that fuel does go to the fuel rail. Dashboard lights come on like normal, however after a second or too all of the lights turn off and I just have the battery light turns on and when I crank it, the starter only does one click. What could my issue be? is it a grounding issue?Heres a video of how my dash looks
Seems like your battery is low on juice.. check the voltage with a multimeter and just go over all your basic grounds that they have been connected to bare metal clean and tight. Aswell as the one from the harness to the top of the thermostat housing..
double checked battery juice, fully charged. I sanded down all the ground points and the harness one. Lights turn on and stay on even after the battery light comes on, Lights are bright and even my radio works fine, I cant see whats the problem is there ground that I am missing? I tried jumping the starter directly from the battery and it just sent sparks flying but no starter movement. Could it be my transmission isn't properly grounded, I used the bar where the clutch cable goes through.
I finally got it figured it out the problem was a culmination of 2 things. One was my ignition switch was not working anymore so I got a new one and it started right up, however my dash wouldn’t work nothing lit up and only my mph side was working because it’s cable operated from the trans. The light situation was caused by a blown fuse in the cabin so I switched it out and now everything works like normal. Hope this helps anyone with a similar issue
