Default SRP pistons and Probe Industries rods

I am looking at getting a D16z6 that is already set up for turbo that has SRP pistons(part #149200) and Probe Industries rods in it. Tried searching for information on both for horsepower/torque numbers to give me an idea what they could handle. I am not getting too much info on the rods. Really haven't found anything relating to the d16z6. The pistons are coming up but still no real information on what they can handle. I am already currently building a D16z6 with the goal of around 600 horsepower. I wanted to get the other setup for a backup. I wanted to have one tune to work with both engines if possible. Anyone have any experience with the piston/rod combination or either separately? I am going to send an email to SRP to get their feedback on the pistons. Might do the same for the rods. Just wanted to put it up here to see what people think of them. Thanks.

The pistons should hold up at 600WHP with a good tune. If you still have stock sleeves, those will fail WAY before the 600WHP mark. Also, especially since you're on a D16, you most likely won't be able to reach 600WHP without using race fuel/E85 or at least watermeth injection.

I have never heard of Probe Industries, and after a quick search I can't even find a company website for them.

I saw that the sleeves are the weak spot on the Z6. I forgot about that when I post. I am going to do the CSS block setup on the one I am building. As for the setup I am looking at getting I might either do a street 400 horse build with it or just send it to have the CSS done later.
The rods I only saw one site that had Mustang rods on it. Also,on a forum asking about them. When I google them maxspeeding rods come up first. Making me wonder if they changed the name or something.

SRP pistons for Imports are made of 4032 Alloy, which is the "middle" performance type... being stronger than a cast piston... but they are not as strong as the "sister brand" JE 2618 Alloy. Other brands use both alloys as well, so it is important to know which type you are getting with a particular piston choice. In the case of the 4032 Alloy, it is best to keep the FLYWHEEL HP rating at LESS than 125-150 HP per cylinder. In short, 600 Wheel HP with 4032 Alloy pistons is more than pushing it.

Probe Industries is also a piston manufacturer. I wasn't aware that they made/sold connecting rods.

That is good information to have on the pistons. So,I am under the assumption that with drivetrain loss the pistons should be good for around the 400hp mark to the wheels. I believe the stock sleeves should be ok around that. I have not done enough research for that yet.
I found a file for probe industries yesterday that listed a bunch more domestic pistons and some import. At the end of the file it said they did make rods. I saw mostly B series and some K. I will see if I can put the file on here.

This is their catalog. I think in order to see it the catalog has to be downloaded. I am not positive though.

If the rods are standard H-beam style, the general consensus is that 600 hp is about as far as you want to push them. You also need to see if you have the standard wrist pins or if they are the thicker ones for higher horsepower.
