5th gen weight reduction, more important in front or rear?
Hello everyone, been thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood for my 92 vx but I was just curious if it would be more beneficial for handling/cornering speed/g's to loose weight in the front of the car or the rear. Some people tell me front to make it closer to 50/50 weight ratio and not having enough weight in the back will ruin handling. other people say my rear end wont ever kick out (from reducing weight in the back) and itll improve cornering with less body roll. further more they usually also mention that reducing weight on the tires that pull the car can negatively effect handling. any help or suggestions would be awesome. Also in case it matters my tire size is 205/45-16, I have a 35lb subwoofer setup in the trunk and i plan on getting a transmission with shorter gears which may add some weight, may get a d16 also but thats much farther in the future.
