I have been searching for a while now and have had no luck finding any oem honda valve springs to replace my tired old b16a valve springs due to no longer in production or availability.
I have completely restored my car using oem honda parts for nearly anything and everything. I built the motor over 10 years ago and last winter rebuilt it. The only thing I never replaced was the valve springs.
Using the Haynes manual specs, I measured the free height and they are exact to spec but they may not have the original pressure after 33 years.. I am running gsr cams and am looking for anyone who possibly knows a aftermarket set of springs using steel retainers or where to find oem honda ones would be great. Only ones I found close to stock are a set from JUN.
Ideally looking for something with seat pressure close to stock as I want longevity and durability with the least amount of wear causing..
The car is a summer only daily driver with a heavy foot here and there and rarely taken to the strip. 118mph at 13.2 on street tires.. terrible launches lol
Any insight would be much appreciated

 

Skunk2 Alpha springs should be very mild, and one of the softest aftermarket spring options you can get. Should be just fine with a GSR camshaft and not introduce any additional wear.

 

Jun's are almost stock like with the skunks being around 15 more pounds.. Actually found some oem part dealers outside Canada after my first post while trying to hunt more so hoping they still have something in stock..
