2014 CR-V 80,000 miles
Had it since March 2021.
I've had a few issues and haven't looked at it until now. We bought it because our truck doesn't get great mileage our Jeep needed a timing belt and truck wouldn't fit in the parking garage at the hospital. Not to mention the truck was miserable to drive to Chitcago. Not that anything isn't miserable to drive there.
Is there a signature to fill out with your vehicle info?
We suddenly started having oil consumption or leakage issues. About 2 quarts each of the last 2 - 3000 mile oil changes. There was no evidence of burning oil or oil drip spots.
The oil filter cover screws were seized into the C clips, so I got under there yesterday to try and fix that.
I started to drill them out. Then I noticed oil on top of the engine splash guard. Towards the left side.
Is there a video on how to remove the engine splash guard for the 2014?
What's the torque for the engine oil drain plug?
I was told our oil leak was probably the spool valve.
After I get the splash guard off I will check that..
I don't have a lot of time to look stuff up or do much. Usually about 2 - 4 productive hours a day. And I don't get much done.
I've lost way over half my strength. I struggle with 50 lbs now. So I need torque specs. I have zero feel for tight or loose.
Are there any vehicles of this size that get decent mpg's and have a decent tow rating?
Our 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD gets 22 to 26 mpg and had decent tow rating, but it's pretty rusty.
Thanks
