Default 93 civic possible electrical issues

Hi guys been a good while since I’ve been here searching for answers. I’m usually pretty good at diagnosing an electrical issue as I have an ase 12 volt automotive electrical certification. But this one has me stumped. So I have a 93 civic LX sedan, I have an issue that when I turn the car off, as in when the car is running and I switch the ignition off it’s like the car just loses power very slowly almost like it’s draining what’s left if that makes any sense. The engine shuts down fine. It’s all the lights and radio and stuff like that it’s just slowly fading in a sense. I have replaced both fuse boxes… after changing the under dash fuse box I got back my power door locks (they just quit working one day) but other than that I’m leaning towards the complete ignition switch and harness. Which I have tested the harness and everything seems to check out on it. But I am willing to give it a shot if anyone has any input please by all means. Help!! 😂

With the car off, no key in ignition. Undo your negative terminal and test the current between the negative terminal of the battery and the negative battery cable.

I'm not sure how much draw there should be when the car is parked but I don't believe it should be much especially if there is no alarm. If you find significant current draw, this would indicate you have some sort of parasitic draw like a wire shorting to ground or whatnot.

Thanks I’ll give that a shot tomorrow and see. I was actually leaning on replacing the engine harness as there is a lot of soldered wires and heat shrink in a lot of places. All these issues are from previous owner. I’m just trying to run down all their mistakes they made. It used to be a buddys car I got it from him after he swapped in a jdm d15b and he said that harness was already like that when he first got the car. But there wasn’t a engine in it when he got it and he didn’t have it long before I got it
