Default Broken valve cover breather hose fitting

Hey so I recently bought a b16 valve cover but they guy super glued the damn hose fitting for the crankcase venting. Assuming he dropped since there’s a small crack in the timing cover.
So now I’m trying to think of how to fix it or am I just screwed.

That fitting doesn't really see a lot of pressure. I'd probably put at least a light amount of clear RTV (or JB Clear weld) around the outside, but otherwise if you're using it for a factory/OEM style setup it will be fine. Check it for the first thousand miles or so to make sure you don't get any oil weeping through that location, but since it's low pressure and up so high in the engine I highly doubt you'll have issues. You mention there's a crack as well, that may actually be more of a concern depending on where and how bad it is.

Otherwise you could obviously get it rewelded, or get the whole thing pulled out and a very small plate/filling welded in to close off the hole where it was - If you were going to change to an aftermarket catch can setup anyway.
