I am currently trying to gather rebuild kits and hardware for my D15Z7 and am having trouble getting any sort of gaskets/ kits/ hardware for my specific engine. All that ever comes up is D16. Is there any difference within the two engines that prohibits me from using a D16 kit? Thank you in advance

 

Is your D15Z7 vtec or vtec-e?

There could be differences in head gasket thickness (very common) that would have a fairly significant impact on your rebuild. The other area that could potentially be a challenge is in the bearings. There was a difference in journal size between 1.6L and 1.5L and even different 1.5's varied sometimes.

Knowing what market your civic is from my be helpful.
