K24A2 swap in a 1997 civic dx
I'm relatively new to the whole engine swap scene, what's everything I would need to pull this swap off? I know I'd need a drive shaft, engine mounts, and a rear differential, but what else would I need in terms of parts and/or need to do to the car such as cut open the cabin or smth to fit the drive shaft?
Thats the thing though, I love the way the civic looks and ideally would like it to be rwd because from my very limited knowledge and what I’ve been told, fwd just feels janky and generally worse than rwd. Is that something I should’ve taken with a grain of salt or is that true?
RWD Civic is never going to drive or handle as well as a FWD Civic short of a purpose built RWD chassis with Civic skin glued on. The platform is just not designed that way.
They handle great and drive great as a FWD. They are just a completely different animal from a RWD platform.
Buy a Miata and rip around in that to see if RWD suits you better before taking out a mortgage to build a one off thing that maybe doesn't excite you when done.
