Default Rim Offset Issue

Hello folks, I am really in need of help, I just purchased a set of te37 18x8.5 +42 offset and it does look really bad as the wheel sits outside of the fender. I'm running 235/40/18 by the way. I'm looking forward to swap this out, any recommendation as to what offset should I be getting? I have no plans on doing camber or stance but more of a track look(should've gone with 17s).
