Hello Everyone!

I am new here and been working on cars for sometime now and have a few questions about the 5 speed and some issues.

The car is not grinding or having issues going into gear, the only issue is when going into 5 gear it immediately pushes it out like there is no synchro left. I am planning to pull the transmission this week coming up but wondering if it could be anything else? I tried replacing fluid etc and didn't make it better. All other gears work great just 5th.

I have always remembered that if 5th goes out you'd have issues with like 3rd as well but I may be miss informed on that.

The next thing is about cost to repair and difficulty. I have taken a 5 speed apart once to flip the reverse gear that was installed wrong by a trans I had built in my old 98 civic. However the 5 speed for these are insanely price and has to be a cheaper rebuild option.

I am open to any ideas and suggestions! I did search 5 speed transmission but didn't come back with anything useful.

If you had a D series transmission open there isn't much difference compared to the 2007. All the Honda FWD manual transmissions are nearly identical inside.

I had inspected everything and come to find out 5th gear synchro was completely worn out. So, I am in the process of rebuilding it.
